This will come down to how much Hull want to win the game.
If they come to BV in form, we will be in for another very difficult afternoon.

However, the one thing with Hull this season, which may give us a glimmer of hope, is their inconsistency.
When they are on their game, they can compete with anyone and we need them to come over expecting it to be an easy 2 points and then hit them with everything that we have.
They are a big physical side with some real quality and their halves are on a different level to ours.
Somehow, we need to get them on the back foot.
Even though he seems lazy, we have to play Pauli and just hope that he's up for the fight.
Play him from the off and hope that he can take some juice out of their forwards and then bring Fifita on after 20 mins, so that they dont get any respite.
Having beaten them once already and played ok in defeat in the other encounter, victory isn't beyond us but, we need all 17 to be playing 9/10 and get some luck with the bounce of the ball and the man in the middle.
Defence, defence, defence.

I hope you're right Wrencat I really do but as each week comes along I'm dreading it. We have relied week on week on others but bar London they've all caught up to us. The time is now to do it ourselves otherwise I fear the worst. With Hull K R the week after it really is desperation time for those 2 points as they'll really be up for that. How the hell have we got ourselves into this mess??

If the call is for defense, I wouldn't include Pauli.

Well if our coaching staff have been doing their job, they will have noticed how Wigan smashed sneyd out of the game. The put a man on man marker on him and he was totally neutralised. First question is, have we got anyone who could do that role.

If they also watched the warrington game they will have seen the absolute havoc that was created by high bombs to their left side, surely we can exploit that.

Give Pauly the ball close to the line and he will score, Salford proved that. Many years ago we signed a prop from Bradford Colin Forsythe who always scored close to the line and didn't put great defensive shown on . We need to play to players strengths .

Pauli needs to play (and start) to try and get them on the back foot.
We know that he will only give us 2 effective stints of maybe 15 mins in each half but, apart from Fifita, he is the only player that will worry FC.
I know that he's (very) lazy in defence so he shouldn't do long minutes but, if he's up for the fight and used in the right wat, he can be one of our more potent attacking threats and he, along with certain others, owes the team big time.

Maybe we will then as Kelly is "reported" to be injured....
