Escare was decent, a real live wire but I don't think he offers much more than Rocky in all honesty. Both have the ability to create something from nothing, the only difference Sunday was that we didn't keep trying the same old full back round the back play which hasn't been working. I think Rocky would have scored the second break that escare made when Hall somehow caught him, maybe it was a confidence/lack of game time thing but think he could have stepped/gone for the corner and he seemed to do neither.

There is no doubt Hampshire has speed and exceptional footwork.
What I think Escare added was defense organisation.
...... Bit flakey under high ball though.

Hampshire is a 7, would love to see us be in a position this season to play Jowitt at full back with Hampshire and Escare in the halfs.

I seem to recall that he would be available to play against Wigan, but I may be wrong -I usually am, her indoors tells me so!

Generally Wigan seem to allow loaned out players to play against them.

A position he doesn't play, genius and a great example of why you can't be taken seriously but then I'm not sure you want to be.

Better option' Escare to FB to share with Jowitt, both have some wing experience if we are desperate. Hampshire up to the halves with Miller and Brough dropping to the second choice half-back role with the possible addition of another young HB.

Green and tangata I would sign up Tangata coming from the championship looks brilliant. Green had a good debut.
How many times have I said we have never had a class FB. Escare showed what a good FB can do. Needs work under the bomb tho.

Approximately never!

Jury still out for me, Miller has just been inexplicably gash this year but seemed to try a few more different options and took the line on more against HKR and he went well. Same with Brough, not been his greatest year but that 40-20 against the wind, some good kicking and got some quick plays out wide to the centres who went well.

I think its a bit harsh to judge them too much based off this year, playing behind a beaten pack for most of it.

Which is a huge part of what makes a good FB; if he had that ability, he'd be starting at Wigan. I like his running style and attacking threat - but you can't have your regular FB spilling his lollies on even a semi-regular basis.

I dont think it was his ability under the bomb, the wind was all over the place yesterday.
A pretty strong breeze from "the Grimsby end" of the ground but it was swirling too. it wasn't just Escare that struggled and tbf, he more than made up for his couple of errors.
He has a similar style to Hampshire but he's a fair bit stronger bringing that ball out and the hand off was great to see.

Tangata looks like a really durable forward and got through plenty of work, really stiffened up our defence in the middle and Green is a big lad.

Probably the most pleasing aspect of yesterday was that we won without Fifita and if you had him, fit and firing on all cylinders, to add to our squad from yesterday, we really could compete again.

You have hit the nail on the head just think what forwards are missing,3 very good ones. The forwards yesterday gave 100%and stayed on the field longer than at any other game this season .Ok we were playing a team on same points as us but we bet them with plenty to spare .Put the missing forwards in to the squad for next year and we have a good pack with some very good forwards ti cover for them if injured. Could be interesting to see if Chester decided to try and sign any of the loan players

He's already said he wants Tangata and said Green is here to see if he fits us and vice versa.

I think Escare is unlikely. Wigan said they just want him to have game time and we have allegedly signed Walker from London to replace Hampshire.
