Why? These games always draw interested observers, they are not real fans. There may have been 6000 locals there but 2000 of them were not ‘fans’.

These people will only turn up if we are winning big style or when the coffin lid is being nailed down. They are glory/monkish seekers, all clubs have them and only winning trophies regularly will regularly attract them to BV as it is today.

I reckon there was about 120 London fans, which, given the distance and time, I thought was a good effort from them...just a shame that it was them we relegated.

besides the few that came to view there was the reduced cost as well
which would you prefer 5000 paying £15 or 3500 paying £22 that's also adding around a 1000 season ticket holders

More London fans who could have saved themselves a 400 miles round trip and watched it on the telly.

The media have provided lots of hype/coverage.

+ the reduced price

Best atmosphere at the ground for a while. If London had lost last week the season would've ended on a damp squib in front of 3k or so.

Watching the game back, you got caught on Sky a few times with a bit of TV coverage.
Atmosphere was great in the build up by the fans and even the music. Made a big difference.

The point is that we got them in for a big game. Now we need to keep them interested rather than berating them for not coming all the time or labelling them glory/monkish seekers.
And the guy with the flare and those on the field after the game are putting them off coming again.

Would have been nice for all the players to come to the north stand and we could have given them the ovation they deserved and said good buy to players leaving best display of the season. But you can understand younger fans running on the park
