Get rid. Hated them the first time round, no better this time. Home and away fixture list (ideally 14 clubs) and if we must have a magic weekend then have it as one teams home game and alternate it between seasons.

I know many like the magic w/e but its run its course and does not serve any porpoise. It was originally introduced to take the game on the road and introduce new supporters to the rl family, it never worked.
To make a meaningful comp teams have to play each other home and away.

It works fine for me and thousands of others, if the venue is suitable.

It must be a good idea because it was taken up in the NRL this season. I am not sure that not serving porpoise is a reason to consider the magic weekend a failure

Tbh, I don't know how anyone can serve porpoises whilst completely ignoring dolphins.
Its not gonna go down well with the woked rent-a-mob, Lammy will be on this like a limpet, and in no time at all we'll be ficist dictators discriminating against dolphins to further a political agenda.
And you can all see where that's going....

I agree there should be 14 teams in the league and scrap those stupid loop fixtures,or whatever their names are.I would also like a bit more space between being a leadership contender and relegation contender.I would keep Magic Weekend as I have always liked the concept and always feel proud when Trin enter the arena, and I think, yeah, that's MY team!
I have only been to 1 weekend (the last at Newcastle and loved it and would go back there) but watched all the rest on tv.

Re: Loop fixtures : Tue Sep 17, 2019 2:02 pm
At the beginning of the year on 40/20 there was a discussion based on an interview with Robert Elstone

Elstone didn’t see loop fixtures as being a permanent thing, he didn’t give anything more than that

I strongly believe Robert wants a 14 team SL, I think every man and his dogs wants this but it all comes down to money and how it is shared from Sky

As things stand I believe the wolf pack do not receive and funding from sky, I think that’s how it would plan to work going forward too

I think once the wolf pack get in (if they win the NL GF) that there will be an announcement we will go to 14 teams

Essentially guaranteeing no one will be relegated next year

That would leave the doorway open for Toulouse and another side to be promoted

Plus it gets rid of the idiotic January start to the season

That’s how I see it and I’d be v happy with that

Not strictly true, it's done wonders for the game in the NE.
