on a smaller scale, why don't Wakey play a few league games at Oakwell, y'know....spread a bit of the Wakey wealth to Barnsley, or Whitby..Whitby would appreciate a bit more footfall and paying customers I'm sure
how about we play the games here
and keep the ******* trade and money it generates >here<.......where we need it most
If/when the ground redevelopment gets under way, that would be a great idea (subject to the financial side being ok for both Barnsley and Wakefield.
In our group, there are 2 new S/T holders, plus another 4 lads that have come to games this season for the first time and they are all from Barnsley.
I cant understand a word they say
but, they seem to enjoy the game and bearing in mind that there isn't too much RL south of Wakefield (sorry Sheffield), it's an untapped market.
I don't know the best way for the club to exploit it but, a couple of games down there with free entry to Barnsley FC season ticket holders seems like a good idea, which maybe the favour could be returned for Trinity ST holders watching Barnsley
We could be really naughty and offer Leeds United S/T holders free entry for a couple of games as well
