Posted: Fri Sep 20, 2019 6:43 pmI have enjoyed watching Ryan, however there are/is a bigger issue/s regarding players overall in the bigger picture.
Liked or lumped, we do not have enough funds for large contracted players let alone monies available for any marque players, so we budget & Gary to punch above our weight, this is the reality.
The important thing for next season is that Carter & the team management have to address HOW to get the team to perform from the middle of the season to the business end of the season matching clubs that do this very well & way beyond what we do each season. IF that means new conditioner + sport science + defence coach that is where we need to change, big time, we simply do not attain this aspect & it's there for all to see + evidential, ie, the last few seasons.
If we do not rectify this situation, then whether we kept Ryan or these new 5 players arrive we simply will run a like for like season - again !
Passion & trying to hold for the best is naive ! It should be noted the top six above us have strengthened above our level. On the other hand, Danny Ward, took his whole team & trainers management to the army/forces to learn fitness & condition + diet & how to maintain it, it was notified by all the clubs & players comments !
There will be some people/fans disagree but the evidence is there to view !
