Watch this space pal, Amor is a wildcat once again.

I don't know about Baldwinson, he joined York on a 1 month deal but never came back. He seemed to go pretty well for them tbf! You're right, he signed a 2 year deal starting in 2018, weird he wasn't mentioned by the club in the newsletter about departing players.

That's tough seeing as no such club exists.

Should try telling the majority of our squad that, especially dave fifita after his tweet on the 13th with the hashtag "bringhomecats" or perhaps his instagram post where he outlined that his 2nd photo of the day when he became "a life member for the cats!!"

Having read Wikipedia, which is not always correct it states:

When a player has played for a rugby team for six years, he is eligible to gain British citizenship and does not count under the quota.
If the player has a passport for any EU nation or a Kolpak nation.
If the player is from a Kolpak nation such as Papua New Guinea, Samoa or Tonga.

Someone has also edited the page to say:

Toronto Wolfpack are exempt every rule and can field whoever they like because they are trash and will win nothing. lol

Think both the above statements are true as actually to say a British citizen - eg passport holder was being discriminated against due to where he trained would not stand up in court

With the complex nature and seemingly ever-changing overseas quota rules, it’s sometimes difficult to work out how many overseas players are able to play for each club in Super League. There are loopholes galore, with some overseas players exempt based on where they played several years ago or whether they possess an EU passport, for example. Macgraff Leuluai is a Kiwi for all intents and purposes, but was born in Britain whilst his father, James, was playing for Wakefield. He is therefore exempt from the overseas quota, despite spending most of his life living in New Zealand. His current side Widnes raised eyebrows for their Challenge Cup quarter final game against Warrington in June, when nine of their match day 17 weren’t born in Britain.

It’s all about opinion but your certainly not watching the same player as me.

He’s 28 if I remember rightly, what is interesting is that as far as I can tell he’s never played NRL which is a concern but the JDdidnt either so who knows.

On the plus side he’s way better than Hirst and a crocked England on the minus he’s overseas. That said if he isn’t NRL trained does he count, I don’t know I’m just asking.

And that's partly why I wouldn't sign him. I'd have thought there may be a better import but I don't know what wages they would want compared to a bloke that's played in the championship for most of his career. Also, Kyle Amor is past his best and Saints fans haven't seemed too enamoured with him in the last season or so.

Fifita
Kopzcak
Tangata
Amor

That would be the props in your 17 man squad if what people are saying int erms fo signings is correct. Do I think that's any better than last season? No. Not really. I'm sure they will do a half-decent job but it depends if all you want is half-decent. There must be some decent props kicking around the championship that would be younger and hungrier than Amor. Although, suppose it's difficult if they are contracted already e.t.c

Again can't agree, we've had some real dross through the years who've played loads of NRL, whilst some who never got near have been great.

I give you JD, Sam Obst, Jacob Miller and David Fifita to name a few. You may or may not think him good enough that's your prerogative but historically you way off the mark in my opinion as regards his playing history, it often counts for nothing, it's far more the case that some players just fit and only CC can really be in a position to judge that.

That said no point any of us getting hot under the collar because as yet he's not signed :D

There are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule. Adam Tangata is absolutely no David Fifita. David Fifita also had games at first team level for an NRL side. Jacob Miller played significant amount of super league before moving to Wakefield. I won't be disappointed if we sign Tangata... I just don't think it improves us.

Doesn't Leuluai count as Non Fed trained though? so counts as part of the Non fed/overseas 7 you're allowed. If he doesn't then I admit defeat, I don't get the rules.
