It's a great saying but it doesn't work in the context in which I used the expression.

Fifita is the one that concerns me, last I heard they wanted to operate but they did not know the extent of the problem, These are the types of injuries that can sometimes take multiple surgeries to get 100% right. Last thing we want is a situation like Cudjoe at Hudds, at fantastic player ruined by 3 surgeries to get his knee right.

Fifita's had the surgery. Photo on his Instagram of the scar after he had his boot taken off.

Knees and feet both stop you running. I'm only assuming they are the same magnitude.

I don't know tbh but I get the feeling that a knee is more complex generally when it comes to surgery. It's un-scientific but I broke a bone in my foot once and they just put on a plastic cast thing for a few weeks whilst they did nothing for a broken toe. Likewise, my mate fractured the bone just above the ankle which he had plated up but he was walking in four weeks and running in 8. So I'm just going off personal experience but as I say its very un-scientific.

It just depends what it it I guess.
I tore ACL and medial playing rugby.
Took me a good year to recover as I wasn't a pro training every day so I know it's major but equally a big toe injury effectively ended Linekar's career and stopped Haye winning a world title.
Time wise certainly there is a lot more to heal in a knee.

I’ll give you lineker but I’m not having the haye one. Didn’t get near klitchsko toe or not (it was his little toe if I remember right), he always had an excuse throughout his career.

Hopefully all the players will get a good off season under their belts and come back fully fit. Surely we won’t see so many bad injuries next year.

I agree. I was just picking examples. Haye was a strange one.

It will be like having a team of new signings when they are all back. Main thing to work on is syncing them all back up as a team.

And getting them incredibly fit as in the Geoff Evans days.

Haye could not put push on his right leg at all throughout the fight, he was so far removed from the style he was fighting at the time I don`t know how you could come to a conclusion it would not have had any effect on the fight.

He should have pulled out of the fight but he didn't and yes, he would of probably done right to just keep his mouth shut. You obviously know very little about boxing as a broken toe, or any foot injury effects balance and everything goes from that in boxing.
