Been on holls for a few week, so catching up with the new signings.Got to say very underwhelming, players who are not geting any were near the first team , players who are near there end of there playing time..Two players who played in a team that got relegated .Last year we signed well.We have lost Randel and Rocky. two very good players, and expected the same quality as replacement but way of in my mind

Are you, no surprise there, I'm not I'm very happy especially when you consider the number of players coming back from injury. Still if you wannabe a miserable pessimist that's your prerogative

Agree about the injures , good 13 when on field, but was hoping we would sign quality instead of quantity to push for top five

How are Westerman and Walker not getting anywhere near the first team?I know there's rumors about Pitts but the club haven't announced anybody else have they? personally I think we don't need many players, we need everyone that was injured last season fit and firing. We probably need a couple of Props , halfback and hooker - we've also got 2 quota spots left to fill. Tbh It's not even the end of the season yet.
We also brought in Tanginoa and then Atkjins this pass season, who are both quality signings.

As far as I know, there are about 5 more signings to come, 3 if Green and Tangata are already signed, let's hold judgement at least until its all done.

An injury free run next season and there is no reason why we shouldn't be mixing it up at the top end of the table with hopefully a good cup run thrown in .

Although not 100% convinced of what we've signed so far, and let go, I'm not unduly worried just yet, have we finished recruiting. I would say not?

We will, or should have s pretty much fully fit squad by week one of the 2020 season.

ideally a half back, and a couple more props, but I feel these need to be good ones, and not ones just to provide cover, and I think we'll be ok.

The fear I would have, is those teams that finished around us, such as Huddersfield and Hull KR, appear to be recruiting quite well, and I'm sure TW will too.

Considering the team we finished the season with and only having 2 confirmed signings so far i can understand the worry. However, considering a potential starting 13 could look like:

Walker
Johnstone
Bill
Lyne
BJB
Miller
Brough
Fifita
Wood
Koppy
Ashurst
Kelepi
Westerman

That leaves the likes of Arona, King, Atkins, Crowther, Kirmond, Arundel, Batch, Jowitt. Plus the young lads and any other signings.

I am happy with how things look so far and look forward to seeing who else joins for next season.

If we sign Green and Tangata as seems to be assumed that improves us from England & Hirst last season. Its the returning players that will make the real difference - TJ, Bill T & Matty Ashurst was too great a miss for us on the left edge last year. Arona's injury really killed us coming on top of the rest, he was a huge miss and will be a most welcome return.
