She has had some serious racist abuse, and I mean criminally serious racism not mild racism.
And she is using her position to highlight it. Nothing wrong with that for me.

No I’m flipping not.

You’re entitled to your opinion as am I. Mine I’m afraid is that there is one born every minute.

I voted remain, but accepted the result, and am ready to accept the UK leaving the EU.

The 'debate' you mention though, and in fact the whole way Brexit was put to the public, was based on proven lies and deceit.

I think that is now accepted by a lot of people who voted leave and that is why if it was put to the vote again I feel the result would be reversed.

Yes, of course you do that's why you keep with the excuses and prompt for a new vote. The only lies I remember are the punishment budget the massive drop in GDP in the event of a Leave vote. Not forgetting the tax payer funded leaflet talk of world war 3 and refugee camps in Southern England. Unless your on about the quoted number on the bus which was legally verified in court.

The facts are there. It's not my opinion.
You can have an opinion on her or her intention which may be different to mine but it doesn't change the facts.

Let's not take this into a brexit discussion. It's gone OK so far.

I just wish some people would take the same view, and before some of you have a go at dad, he fought with the BEF, got back from Dunkirk just 2 days before the end of operation dynamo. He was a good man, that’s why I use this username.

You know me well Dunkirk, my grandfather and his brother fought in WW1 , my grandfather lost his arm and also his brother who is buried in the war graves at Somme, what do you think they would think of what as happened to this great country of ours after all the massive sacrifices that they made. My self personally I would turn in my grave.

I’m with you Blm, great minds think alike, those poor lads have been spinning in their graves a long time, let’s hope they all get some rest soon.

Read all line one in my post, not only that which you chose to express your venom on. You're obviously too blinkered to debate so I'll take PT's advice and leave it at that.

Of course having legitimate concerns about an additional million new citizens every couple of year having an impact on infrastructure, house prices, rents and creating an over supply of labour meets your definition of Racist. The assumption that Leave voters couldn't have possibly seen that without been brainwashed by the Daily Mail says more about your prejudices . If your someone like yourself who questions the educational level of the electorate that disagrees with you I see why can come to that conclusion. Accept your side lost the debate and move on.

I'm utterly baffled as to where you pulled that rant from; I didn't make any reference to the result, or the people who voted to leave. I said that casual racism has returned due to certain bad actors, and sections of the media, stoking anti-immigrant sentiments to influence the result. That's not an opinion - it's a fact; hate crimes have doubled in the last 5 years.

This is one you quoted in an exchange we had after the referendum.

The facts would back up your assertion:

"According to the polls, university graduates were the most likely people to want to remain in the EU - while those with a GCSE or equivalent as their highest qualification were more likely to back Brexit.

This was a pattern that was reflected in the results.

Those with no education tended to vote Brexit."

There has been absolutely no correlation between hate crime and the Brexit vote. What we have is an increase in reported hate crime thanks to dubious sources that prompt for these reports like the discredited "Tell Mama" web site. Hate crime is a vague term that relies heavily on victim perception and the definition changes as more and more offenses fall under the definition, in theory offenses should increase. Racism acts as a comfort blanket for Remainers to convince themselves of their moral superiority.

Bren can't help himself but bring his Brexit digs into threads. It's hard to not reply when he compares your political views to Holocaust denial.
