It's unlikely anyone would pick any of the PNG team to replace their GB counterpart at their club.

It isn't the skill of the players.
It's a question of why they can't replicate it for GB, on this tour with this management team.

Absolute dross I’m afraid. Bennett is taking the mick, strikes me as a bitter old man using GB to wind people up, sadly for us it’s blown up in his face which he deserves but we don’t.

Agree 100%, PT, but PNG had something that GB haven't shown at all in this four match series and that is the sheer desire to win. To a degree the Tongan side were similar, but far more skiliful in their execution than the Kumuls.
I've always been far more interested in club rugby than the international game and GB have done nothing to alter this view. I actually wanted the Kumuls to win once they started to dominate the game from the very start of the second half.

I don’t know about that one PT, some hard working big forwards and quick edges on show , definitely wouldn’t look out of place in SL, not sure about NRL as it’s far superior.

Re: Great Britain : Sat Nov 16, 2019 11:54 pm
Bennett chose to go for a squad of forwards, half backs and big backs to help out the forwards. The two wingers he chose to take are better known these days for taking their share of the hard drives in the first few tackles than their speed. It proved to be the wrong tactics. Great half backs work better with a great back line, great half backs do not make a great back line, they make an inexperienced back line who don't know how to play the position. He made the choices, he got it wrong.

Really poor I'm afraid.

Not seen a worse GB team in 40 years of watching the sport.

Total shambles. Great CV down under but Bennett has to go.

What's Shaun Wane doing at the moment?

I agree on that performance but they are playing for lower level clubs where they definitely have been overlooked.
I liked them but if they'd been playing let's say even Wakefield at Belle Vue they wouldn't have looked as good.

They fully deserved the win but I hope Warrington play Austin on the wing against us with Hughes in centre and drop Clarke when we play them next season.

I agree with what you have posted.
However, I think the damage to the GB sides confidence was already done in the two defeats against the Kiwis and the loss to Tonga.
We looked very low on confidence last week and ready for the plane home yesterday and that was before the game began.
The loss to Graham was huge and without that we could have won but, the squad selected by Bennett & Co was poor and magnified with injuries

The GB brand needs forgetting until there are players from the other home nations that are really worthy of inclusion and if we are all honest with each other, there just aren't any.

Back in the day when there was an influx of decent talent from Welsh RU, the Lions was improved by having some of those players in the squad but now, its a step backwards.

Also, where was the threat going to come from, we had no pace whatsoever.
