Really pleased if that smug women loses the "safe" seat. Brexit meant Brexit luv.
Pity Tricky Jon looks like holding on next door though.

have you had a walk around wakefield town centre, absolute disgrace how it’s been left to go to rack n ruin.Been a labour man all my mining days but I’ve struggle to see what they have brought to wakefield lately .Myself I think this is the backlash from Mary creigh going against the people of wakefield in the brexit vote in parliament.Thats twice they’ve been beat now who’s up for a third vote on brexit .

Need to give them a chance before writing them off.

Its obvious to see, just walking round the streets, that the city centre has been neglected over the past 20 years or so.

Something had to give, we needed change, and have got it

Maybe politics can settle down now and except when a votes been made they should stand, while I still couldn't bring myself to vote for conservative principles thank gawd that will be the last we see of Corbyn,

And maybe we can except brexit is what the country wanted and it shuts up the whinging second referendum claimers

Big wow for me. I moved out of the Wakefield area decades ago and whilst I've never voted Labour I know it has always been a Labour stronghold. Very surprised to see the colours change here.

I do agree with the earlier comment that the city is now very run down compared to when I was younger. I hope the city regenerates as it is very sad to see your emotional home in such a run down state in recent years.

Tricky Jon hangs on by the skin of his teeth. Only 1200 votes majority following a minus 19% swing.

Lesser of two evils in my book.

Boris is still a huge risk but the catastrophe that Corbyn would have been has been averted.
