I was recently listening to Isaac John's podcast (The Ice Project) with Chad Townsend and Chris Lawrence and Isaac asked if either player had any ideas that they think could work in the NRL, I think it was Chris who answered with it would be interesting to see RL come up with an adaptation of the NFL's Coach's Call.

Someone on here might have a better understanding of how it works but from what I gathered in the NFL the coach has the option to question the referee's call and as mentioned on the podcast it could easily be implemented in RL. (Obviously only on televised games)

Anyone else think it could work?

If it only applies to televised games it does not give a level playing field. Leeds Wigan and Saints tend to be on TV more than the rest so they would get more opportunities to contest an adverse decision with the possibility of overturning it. We already have a situation where supporters say the VR should be at all games and that it is and advantage/disadvantage when it is.
I get where you're coming from but it's not feasible until all games are televised.

Nonsense in my opinion, further disruption to the flow of the game, will we have to have a coach call clock - maybe ask the crowd, phone a friend could be an option

The reason it works in NFL is that there is a break after every play, so a coach asking a question is not a problem.
In Rugby League the play does not stop to be reset so they would have to either stop play when they ask a question which would be ridiculous, or we go back to the incident after play has finished which would slow things down and in my opinion cast unnecessary doubt on decisions made.

I'd rather just go with what the ref said and move on.

We already go to video ref on that if there is a doubt. Can't see why the coach would have a better view. So interesting question, but not for me.
