Arriving at the ground for the Friday lunch, there was a great big J C B type, working on the car park surface, it appeared to be levelling the surface, not saying it could be anything substantial considering ground redevelopment could be imminent. (Fingers crossed)

I'd guess they are filling the pot holes with 'planings' so I don't believe that you should build your hopes at the sight of the first JCB of the mating season.

I would be surprised if they re-surface it now, seeing as there are likely to be lots of demolition vehicles likely to be driving over it in a few months time (hopefully) ??

Still have that nagging doubt redevelopment is reliant upon Yorkcourt and to be Frank that make me think it will not be happening anytime soon (10 years and counting since the original NM application went in this April) if at all. If there is some truth re the capital investment group then that could be an avenue for redevelopment.
