Further Injury Fears

Don't know about other posters on this Forum, but with the amount of talk about injuries over the last ten months or so I'm reaching a state of almost paranoia. Prior to a game I become increasingly worried as to whether there will be new injuries or further injuries to those who have recovered. We've seen only too well what more than the average amount of injuries can do in the closing stages of the season. I'm sure my heart will be in my mouth everytime DF, TJ, TA , Bill or Reece touch the ball.
We seem very vulnerable.

well we have no choice but to move on, but I for one perhaps mistakenly felt that all those injured last season would be fit to start this season. Not so, I just hope when they come back, they find the form we have been used to them displaying!

I'm the same, every time TJ takes a ball into contact my stomach tightens, every time a player stays down Im basically praying that it's nothing long term. Suppose it comes when youve lost so many players over a short space of time, it will pass.

Again it’s part of the game, always has been. If you can’t accept injuries and injury runs then it’s not your game I’m afraid.

We have no more issues than any other team but i don’t see there fans living in mortal dread. We had a good few seasons with relatively few injuries, now it’s our turn, just the way it goes.

One thing I’m not willing to do is allow it as an excuse for the HKR performance, that had nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with attitude. We have enough players who with the right attitude can give anyone a game. We used to give teams a game with far more limited squads than this one!

They are not saying they can't accept them.
They are just saying how they feel.

Look how it affected saints last week you take any 4 or 5 top players out of any team and that team will struggle

The worry for me is the amount of long term injuries, short term injuries can be overcome pretty quick but long term can severely effect confidence in a player and take many games to get match fit which we can I'll afford.

I think everybody is a bit right here!
We've been hit by injuries -hard, and it does make you feel when they come back that any tackle is going to crock them again!
Yes, I guess it's out turn to suffer numerous injuries, some long term, (although, surely we must be coming to the end of our bad luck in that respect!)
All that said, I do agree with FC that the injury situation does not excuse poor performances from the fit players on the pitch!
