That PT was not speculation it was an opinion, one I stick by. Some coaches have a well documented history of complaining directly to the Controller of Refs after defeats where they feel they were treated unfairly, it’s in the public domain. Most seem to come from ‘top’ clubs and are more often than not Aussies.

Tbf I bet CC would like to do the same but is savvy enough to know that nobody would take him seriously, not with that accent! :D

In this example it's the same.
You are right that some coaches moan to the controller but that isn't what you said.
You said they moaned that he didn't lean towards them. Very different.
If you keep down that line I'll have to stop you.

Karl Kirkpatrick.

Some of those that pursued Kirkpatrick off the pitch that day were supposedly banned sine die by the Club, but I know that some of them still attend at Belle Vue, and have done for years.

Why? What possible law do you imagine I’m breaking this time?

You are implying that one of the group is cheating.
And its nothing to do with the thread.

Am I the only person who doesn't even check who the ref is, because it's entirely irrelevant to the outcome in all but the most rare and extreme examples?

It’s part of the match day tradition amongst other things, such as having pre match pie and pint, to discuss match day officials, we all have opinions of them from past experiences of seeing them in action.

I'm the same.
I could happily watch a game and never know who the ref is.

I'll never forgive Child for his FORTY TWO penalties in our game against Cas at the Millennium stadium all those years ago.
I have to say that everything that has happened since is tainted by his "performance" on that day.

It was (and still is) a long way to Cardiff and that guy ruined the game and the day.
