Apparently offered to at least 1 super league club, I have Salford in my head but what are your thoughts? Would you take him?

He'd definitely improve the squad but we couldnt afford him without letting others go. Maybe to replace Broughy when he hangs up his boots?

O'Brien would do for me. Possibly passed his peak but still a good player.

There would have been a time when I would definitely.
Does have a good kicking game though.
Maybe, as an option to replace Brough if the price was right, though not played much in the halves in recent years

Think it would be better to get a half who still plays there. It's were we have gone backward over the. last few years. Notice that a lot of clubs have brought in good halfs this season .A good fast young half with a kicking game would not have us looking at the bottom 4. Know we got a small budget .But think it's a trick we have mist when we had the fastest 2 to 5 in S L

You never give names, who are these halves that were/are available. The only one I can think of that was available in the close was Richardson.
Have we theoretically not got a good a fast young halfback in Hampshire, I'm sure you're one of his fans? I'm really not sure exactly what you are wanting.

He’d be fourth choice full back and fourth choice half back. Not needed in my opinion.

Fishermanscap looks like Gaz O'Brien is a player that is past is best and does not play in the halfs any more .We have been down that road for the last 5 year .As far as Hampshire playing at 7 , i am happy to give him a run there" Work in progress the next 5 games will give us a idea wether he is a 7 or not. I do not know who is avallibell in the halfs But should hope Mr Chester does that's what he gets paid for .Would have liked to have seen the French lad from Wigan we had on loan at end of last season .but gess he wanted to much to sign. Wigan lost well over 1 million £ last year but still signed a top 6 and 7 how does that work

They are underwritten by Leneghan. I dont think O'Briens past his best, he's not even that old - 28.
