To take over from Wayne Bennett at Souths 2022.
Good luck to a friend of the club. He's worked hard for every success.

Excellent news for JD and I wish him every success in the job.
A true Wakey legend and absolute top bloke.

He sure came a long way from a very average debut in a friendly at Fev, after we signed him from Widnes.
Went on to be an excellent player and even better captain and was a great ambassador for the club through some testing times, notably the loss of Watene.

Legend is overused but, in terms of Trinity, he is definitely worthy of the label.

Well done JD. It just goes to show that superstar players don't always make great coaches. Although JD was definitely a star at Wakefield he was never a big name as a player, yet he looks set for a stellar career as a Coach. South is pretty much as big a gig as you can get in RL.

First player on the team sheet, great player and leader and all round nice bloke, started his coaching down at Crigg all Blacks with Jordan’s team, his patience and knowledge was second to none, hope he achieves all he deserves and hopefully a small amateur club in Wakefield helped him to get him there. Well done Jason

Chuffed for him. An example of how hard work pays off.

JD goes down as my favourite ever Wakefield player, not because of his talent, because of his work ethic, obvious determination, passion and leadership qualities - Not to mention his love for Wakefield.

Chuffed for him and I hope to one day see him back at Wakefield.

He was a leader, his whole demeanour was about working his socks off every minute of every game he played, and no doubt he inspired others around him, and probably carried one or two along the way! Hope he succeeds and has a long career as a coach.
