Just watching this now on the site we don’t mention. Worth watching for Trinity fans and RL fans in general. I’m going back onto the site to watch rest of programme.

Having just listened to the full programme, which M.C. spoke at great lengths about having to reduce players payments and it’s fallout, the RFL discussion with the Government for grants, his views on talking to Sky re new contract on bringing it forward with perhaps a reduced payment enabling clubs to plan for this/next season. Trinity’s financial situation (we only £3,000 of outstanding credit owing). The current situation could provide the sport with a blank canvas to restructure the sport. The likelihood of playing behind closed doors, particularly the CC, his views on expansion of the game. Plus a few more topics. MC is well worth listening to.

Always impresses me when I hear Michael Carter speak. I think you are lucky to have him guiding your club through this situation.

He talked about the contract situation which crosses over with another thread.
Although players can talk to other clubs if they are out of contract this year, the deadline for "the letter" from the club to the player to say what their intentions are has been deferred slightly as no one will really know what their budget is for next year yet.
Carter made a point of saying he wanted to both support of the players and also let them find a better contract for themselves as well.
