O/T scary stat : Sun May 24, 2020 10:30 am
Who knows whether our mod and his little click will tolerate this post, considering how FC was locked for no good reason, but I’ll try.

Non political point.

Ive just read that the number of people killed by Covid now exceeds the number of British civilians killed In WW2.

A meaningless stat in many ways But it does put into perspective just how serious this event is and how un-seriously far to many people are still taking it.

Frightening.

Stats may be wrong, below is an extract from https://www.parliament.uk/business/publ ... he-fallen/

In WWII there were 384,000 soldiers killed in combat, but a higher civilian death toll (70,000, as opposed to 2,000 in WWI), largely due to German bombing raids during the Blitz: 40,000 civilians died in the seven-month period between September 1940 and May 1941, almost half of them in London

If you need some guidance Vastman, I'd say starting a post by breaking the AUP (section 3.2) is a fair way to get the post moderated and go back to sitting on the bench.
I'd also add, if your post is nothing to do with rugby or Wakefield then its probably better posted somewhere else.
If it is only posted to pick a fight or cause offence then it will be locked.

Hope that's clear.

As for this post, your facts aren't correct but the point is well made. I have left many discussions on Covid running just because I thought it was good to talk about it but eventually they descend into political points scoring or bullying so I make no apology for locking them.
You have been told many times not to post like this and this is definitely not the subject to start picking fights. If you can't follow the BE KIND mantra that is popular now, at least follow the BE SENSIBLE ON SENSITIVE SUBJECTS one.
