Well we did restore some pride ... just hate it when we’ve given 2 points away

Wakey where poor today but cant fault the effort..scoring points is an issue and has been for a while now personally think the half back postion is a problem cant remember last time miller had a good game and as much as i like max wouldnt say he got a kicking game to be an organising 7 which we need.

Saying that we lost because of the officials today the try by bibby was short the replay shows that but wigan shouldnt have even veen is possession kelipi got the ball ripped out clear as day down at the other end of the pitch.

And for peeps moaning about goal kicking yes gigot missed a simpleish one but also kicked one of the whitewash

Aydin! You’d have had a point with some players but Aydin is as far off ready as you can get.
surely if his not ready he shouldn't be in the 21 ,give these lads a run

Looks like we fit, giving away too many penalties , Think we have got the worst 6,7, and 9 , excluding K Wood .Full back very poor .Two easy kicks cost us

Funny how a game lasts more than a twenty minute period.

You clearly don’t understand sport.

We were pretty poor fo 60 mins and had a few decisions go against us. No doubt we were second best. What matter though is despite being off the pace we found enough resilience to nearly win! What part of this don’t you get?

We may not be a champion team but we are clearly a team. In the long run that’s what matters. We will hit a purple patch and when we do our resilience could make all the difference.

It was also abundently clear that in the second half Gigot found his feet more and we improved dramatically.

Imho Gigot probably cost us the game. However I remember a certain Fifita’s home debut being just as dreadful but that turned out well in the end.

We’ve lost our HB, we have in Arona, Fifita, TJ and Tupou still recovering in playing terms from long injuries. These are key players. Things don’t happen overnight.

Added to that some key players were missing in Ashurst, Batch, Hampshire and Westerman to name but three. It was a patchwork team in some ways. Why they were missing I do not know.

Poor first half probably cost us the match but nice to see us get back into the game. Could have easily rolled over but showed spirit and could have nicked it at the end.

Gigot a debut to forget.

Both woods excellent along with Koppy and Navarette.

Looked static going forward but expected to an extent.

One gripe for me is running onto the ball, simple yet we don’t seem to do it very well, fifita often stood still when receiving the ball.

Hopefully Toms injury isn’t too bad, looked in some discomfort.

Onto next week

Not our 55% first half set completion? Tanginoa’s multiple knock ons? Kay’s inability to take the first ball Lynne threw his way? Tangata’s decision to keep his hands on the Wigan forward and keep him off balance when trying to get up and play the ball?

Just a little snippet from your recent response to my mate Willzay:-

We were pretty poor fo 60 mins and had a few decisions go against us. No doubt we were second best.

Gigot didn’t cost us the game, the team as a collective lost us the game.

Way too often do we show up for 60 minutes playing abysmal rugby and decide to show some resiliency in the last 20 minutes, it makes for some great finishes but sadly more often than not its the other team who take the two points.
