I think a lot of people are getting hung up on the Black Lives Matter org.
For me, black lives matter is just a statement. All lower case. They do. And they should matter more than some people think. I think I'm going to start saying I support anti racism. It's clearer.
As said before the club did everything correctly and respectfully but people without a brain won’t get it. Well done to the club for doing the right thing.
Up the Trin
Only those who are intent on causing trouble and division, would find even the tiniest of faut with that statement. I’ve had my opinions on BLM movement, and taking the knee, but I will back MC and the club on this action. It’s a brilliant example of how to please everyone, (most people anyway), and should endorsed by the RFL/SL, perhaps other sports might follow.

Many people can't see, or won't accept the distinction between the two.
I have even seen some arguing (probably not on this forum), that there is no such thing as the BLM organisation.
Carter and the club have now very clearly explained their pro-equality, anti-racism stance - it's probably time to shut this down and talk about referees.
I guess next time the players could unfurl a banner as they stand spelling out "no to racism" or something similar. That way both left and right can not take the stance out of context.
I think the general issue is BLM, when I last read about it, is protesting against ant-black racism. To me its unhelpful to sub-divde such an issue. Racism is racism whether its against Black, Asian, Arab, Aboriginee, Hispanic or even dare I say it white.

Why, they have made there choice that should be the end of it. Why is everyone so desperate to accommodate the twitter mafia. In reality a group of a few thousand trolls who are holding an entire nation to ransom.
Who remembers just a few years ago the slogan of the day then was : "KEEP POLITICS OUT OF SPORT". What happened??? Perhaps it would be better if both players and officials just walked out onto the pitch, took up their playing positions and kicked off. How refreshing that would be.
I’ve just been watching this weeks episode of fourty 20. If MC has seen last night, or received information of what has been said, then I’m not surprised he closed his twitter. I’ve always thought that Phil Caplin, was an ok journalist, but not after listening to his comments today, will I never purchase his magazine again. He wants to pander to the twitter fanatics, one minute he saying the game needs to debate how as a sport we deal with taking the knee, and dealing with some players views re religion etc, then he comes out with the statement along the lines of “as a sport, all players must take the knee, otherwise, they can’t play. He thinks the game’s sponsors, Sky, Might be upset, and we have to respect the BLM movement and take the knee. What the Hell, other Coaches within our game say they respect their players decision on wether to take knee or not. How can our game’s governing body instruct players on what political stance they should take. The twitter brigade have got the likes of Caplin, running scared, and allowing themselves to be bullied. God, if I ever see him at BV again, he’ll get a right telling off. I hope MC, the club stick to their guns, I don’t want to be part of a sport that runs scared of twitter bullying.

Seems like people are not allowed a personal opinion on this matter. Good for you Trinity players, for not just following on like sheep.
They are allowed a personal opinion as long as it’s the same as theirs for what it’s worth it was up there with the best Trinity performances I’ve seen and without a ball kicked, long may it continue.
