Turning it back on Toronto have they got a future.
They never had a future to start with. The most ridiculous effort yet to expand the game.
There are cities such as Newcastle and Sheffield that have the basics. All they need is planned long term support and they could tip the game.
It’s not just about SL teams. Neither of the above need to have a SL teams it’s about having a focal point club that can encourage development in Schools etc whilst giving any local talent a shop window. It’s to do with people watching and playing the game.
Great if they do make it to SL but it’s all about adding to the mix in a sustainable way.
Do it long enough and back it all the way and we will eventually reach a national presence at some level.
If we’d have done this with London years ago including finding them a permanent home we’d be home and dry now. But no always the quick fix for Max impact with absolutely nothing to back it up.
I’d rather a top amateur club in Nottingham or Birmingham any day than Toronto.
