Not the biggest, but could Pitts do an honest job in the front row. I also think like someone else said a while ago that I think Westy could do a decent job there, which would free up the spot for Walker or Jordy

Think the role of prop to back rower is differs more than some think but i get your point if we do do need to plsy a pitts or another bzck rower at prop i think playing jordan at hooker ( who i thought did a good there ladt season) will help stiffen the middle.i sldo hope when needed aydin gets a chance he could go well

I’d rather get a prop from the championship who’s actually a prop rather than fitting square pegs into round holes.

Seems to me all the people posting about switching people to prop were moaning that Chester played people out of position.

To me if we are down on numbers many of our team can cover another role. But that's not the same as a player playing there for the season.
We'll soon get found out if we play Westerman and Pitts as our front rowers.
Firstly we lose what they can do in their own position and second we'll batter them while they at best get used to the new style of play and at worse just play badly.

Exactly PT. Kelepi is an excellent example. The difference when he is playing second row and playing prop is night and day.

No it isn’t, he’s equally as effective at both. It just happens that second row offers him more freedom to run out wide which catches the eye. When he played prop he hurt the opposition and took a lot out of them.

Both rolls are vital but as he’s our only real tackle buster most myself included would prefer him running wide.

Jeez who’s moaning, people are discussing options, they are clearly not the same.

Nobody wants Westerman or Pitt’s playing out of position but sometimes there is no choice. All clubs have to do it at times even Saints or Leeds.

Agree, anyone who doubts that should go back to the last game of the season against London last season, he quite literally dominated Londons pack by himself playing in the front row.

Different positions highlight different elements of a players game, dont get me wrong he is fantastic playing SR but imo just as effective at prop.

Exactly this. Tanginoa shouldn't be used to cover prop he is the player the team is being built around so he should be second row despite effective at prop. He is in the SL Dream Team as second row isn't he?

Another specialist prop and if finances allowed (due to several players leaving at the end of the season) a utility forward who has the size and experience to cover the prop/second row positions.
