When you say hybrid do you mean 4G or actually hybrid as they are different.
A 4G pitch used daily would probably last around about ten years depending on quality.
A hybrid pitch which is grass with plastic woven in is nowhere near as robust. In summer you could probably use it for matches and training whilst in winter just matches.
A hybrid pitch is really an enhancement rather than a replacement. It’s only real advantage is that it’s less likely to cut up. At a guess I reckon it would give you no more than 30% more use before it began to wear, especially in winter.
By contrast a 4G pitch would give you a 100 fold increase with near constant use over a ten year spell.
Hybrid pitches are great, I think Hudds is one but they are for rich clubs who have no need to make money from them.
4G pitches have their limitations but they have come a long way in the last ten years. They are now at a point where players are happy with them and that is really important.
