........it's a good job Hurrell, Handley, Lui, Newman, Gildart, Marshall, French, Manfredi etc weren't playing in the two games, or else we would have probably conceded over 100 points already!! It seems we are now a 'team' who wins one game out of every 6or7, which is obviously bottom 4 maybe bottom 2 form. I think we'd all agree we have 4, maybe 5 at a push more than decent players, who at their best would probably get into a lot of other teams, TJ, Fifita, Tupou, Tanginoa, maybe that's it. So the rest, are they simply not of a standard to perform week in week out, or are the coaching staff not getting the best out of them?? The kicking game generally is of Championship standard, and that's probably being kind, as is the dummy half play, it's just not good enough to compete at this level. I realise his hands have been tied as re. hooker with Kyle out, but it's like we are relying on him, at what is he now, 34 years of age?! I really can't make my mind up whether like I've said the bulk of these players aren't up to it, or it is the coaching. It is only 2 games, and let's hope we do see some improvements, but deja vu doesn't even cover it does it really?! It's just that feeling already in the pit of your stomach so early on, that it's another season of struggle and strife........

That's a big part of the problem too.
Just as the pressure is building and Chester's position becomes increasingly untenable, they win one game.
The forum is then flooded with people saying "Ha! Told you he was a great coach."
A nineteen percent win record is abysmal.
People use the lack of funds to try and justify that.
We are either a proffesional club or we are not.
At times, we almost seem proud of the fact that we spend less than anyone else.

Well I supposed we dined out on the fact we spent well below the cap in 2017 & '18, and maybe it was a miracle we got some of those players to perform the way they did consistently, Likes of Finn, Grix sometimes, England, etc. It's just not happening anymore is it, or just not often enough. Already unless we pull a shock off, we are probably looking at losing the first 4 or 5 games.

If trinity are going to win a game against a top team we need luck .to play exceptionally on the day and the other team to be below par .end of

I can take losing the first four or five games. That might sound strange but, I genuinely can.
I'm looking for improvement throughout the season.. If they need time to gel at first, fair enough.
It's the consistent grind that gets me.
Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is supposed to be fun.
It really is the notion that loss after loss after loss is ok if you put a surprise win on three times a season.
It's just the same year in, year out.
Players don't look fit.
Players can't play for eighty minutes.
Players look clueless in the red zone.
Players look disorganized and rudderless.

Please, stop me if you've heard all this before.
