We been playing 5 drives and a kick for 2 years, just a bit more football been played this year please

Sadly, even as it's the basics, we've not been very good at it, starting with the forwards not running onto the ball, and the wingers driving it in too often. All for the backs to take it in, but there has been instances when the whole set, as been taken up by the backs

I'm not usually one for advocating ultimatums and in the past have been the eternal optimist - 'we'll turn the corner' BUT even I'm at the point where the time has come for a win!
I don't know what's wrong - Bad coaching? Players not playing to gameplan? Players not fit? some players don't care? Injuries?
You can pick and mix but it's probably a bit of everything, although to be fair the players have seemingly stepped up in the last couple of games. You can analyse it as you wish as to what's causing the terrible run, but what we all surely agree on, is that it has to end, and pronto!
If there is no win in the next couple of games, then in my book, it's time for a change, because spectators will not return to watch a team getting beaten in every game, and that's fact.

I would be satisfied with the basics right now. 5 proper drives and a kick complimented by some of the defence shown this year would see us see us take the 2 points on a few occasions.

The strategy of firing the backs/wingers in for the first few tackles just doesn’t work as it used to and I think even more so for us, as at the moment we’re often starting off on the back foot 10m from our own line.

I remember seeing the likes of Cockayne and Fox often break through the line and put us in a really good position or even score.

Just had a look at the fixtures. Leeds, Hull KR, Huddersfield and then Warrington. Massive 3 weeks coming up, we need a win out of the first three.

Sad but in reality if we can pick up a few points and also beat Leigh, we just might be safe come the end of the season.

I remember when sending the Wingers/Centres in for drives on the first play or first and second play was to give the forwards a rest, these days, the forwards don`t even seem to do much!

Baffles me we stick with it regardless, the other week we conceded 2 consecutive Goal Line Dropouts because we thought 1 metre from our own line, under massive pressure, our best idea was to send Innes Senior in... That ball goes to Tanginoa, who is there ready to take the ball, we don`t concede cheap possession like that.

I was just going to mention this myself, Timmy. The idea of making the wing men take the ball forward in the first two tackles started at the time of the two wingers that you mention. It was quite a successful tactic at the time, but seems less effective now that it has become commonplace. Although TJ tends to use the move to good effect at times.

Chester wants all the backs to do 20 carries and at least 100m per match which is stupid its the forwards job.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I don't think Chester knows that there are different positions, and that those different positions require different skill sets and attributes.

Why don’t you apply for the position of Coach, you must have plenty of coaching qualifications, I say “put up or shut up”
