If it’s about money how do reconcile our performances with those of Salford who have no big money backer, low season ticket sales and rent their ground.

Same as every other business.

No, it’s partly about money. A poor manager will not get the best possible results whatever the resources they have, that’s the same in any business.

It is but it`s not all about money as Scarlett points out, I think if you can be smart with the money that you do have then that goes a long way.

If it was all about money, Warrington would have been SL champions for the last 5/6 years, as it turns out they haven't won it once.

If it was all about Money, Salford would never have been to Old Trafford and Wembley for 2 seasons on the bounce, Cas would never have been in sight of Old Trafford or a league leaders shield.

Negotiations ongoing for the funding from the development, club looking to do best possible deal but are willing to walk away if they don`t think the deal is right.

Which is all very noble but if we walk away then we will get nothing and the Belle Vue refurb doesn’t happen. Sadly Yorkcourt know that and have us over a barrel. They will offer the bare minimum needed to get it passed through planning whether we agree or not.

Spot on.

Good minute taking by the way.

I appreciate them taking the time out to do these, not many other clubs do, but the attitude regarding results is very concerning.

Can we just take a look at Barnsley FC and their Billionaire but tight a$$e owner who employs Moneyball tactics and after avoiding the drop to Div 1 last year they are now in the Championship playoffs.

Key differences was not necessarily by buying players from unknown clubs for ÂŁ125000 because they had good stats on paper, but the appointment of their new manager has transformed the team.

Remarkable turn around.

Think people like Morris and Dike had a bit of something to do with it as well, BSC :)

I thought it was all there and ready to go according to minards. Now we’re still negotiating and prepared to walk away?

No, when he says walk away he means from a sub-standard deal, that doesn't mean let Yorkcourt off the hook and walk away from the project. I happen to know the leverage we have and it's pretty strong and without giving anything away the leverage is not the NM site as such.

A number of developers will lose a lot of money, certainly in the short to mid-term if they do not play ball with ourselves and more importantlyWMDC. The weak link was WMDC under Box, we now have a different leader with different agenda, let's hope they stick to their guns.

JM has always said nothing is certain until the money has been handed over, that was and still is the case. This current plan has more to it than any I have seen before but millions of pounds do not fall off trees. Planning permission, by the way, is not the same as funding, I'm not saying you didn't know that but I'm not sure some do.

I can’t imagine Westerman staying. Why would he when he can go to. Club who have better prospects. Reading this thread there doesn’t seem to be any positivity in the club. Not knocking MC at all I bet he is more cheesed off than the rest of us and if he walks I can’t see the club surviving. Who would want a club with a ground that’s not fit for purpose and such a small fan base. Think we are well and truly staring down the barrell. Was hoping for good news on the ground but it sounds as though they are preparing the fans for bad .
Been along time since I felt like this and I’m hoping I’m wrong
