Reading the excellent minutes from HV it is clear that the air of defeat is in place throughout the club. We have those at the top whose sole ambition is to finish 11th because they believe money is the sole defining factor of a team’s capabilities. We the supporters of Wakefield over many years know that it is not just money but the team spirit which unfortunately Chester cannot install unlike many of his predecessors

In your opinion, let's not forget that you may think you know it all others may see it differently. :SLEEPY:

No I don’t know it all but neither do you despite you appearing to have an opinion on every topic. What I do know is that it appears our ambitions are limited and based on the team performances they are living up to the standards set.

I may be wide of the mark and reading our game/players wrong ,but I’d say a big part of our problem on the field at present is confidence ,and not the players ability which is affecting their performances. Certainly doesn’t help our cause playing some of the big hitters first off ,but I believe we will rally and bond sooner rather than later and put some rousing performances in.

Might as well just forfeit Saints games in the future in Minardsthinks we can’t beat them. James Webster all over again.

Might end up with a better points difference.

Homme vaste gave a good summary. MC was asked about the acadamy for next season. Apparently decision has been put back a couple of weeks. There are 5 clubs for 2 places.

This is the most worrying aspect for me if we lose academy where where do future players come from.how can a top level side be stopped from producing there own players i dont know.the rfl at its best

Also dont get why there looking for a second rower...first of all we are after a prop in AF which prob wont happen, then we play our best sr at prop while we have 3 props on bench.

We have to be 80-100% right with our so called big nrl signings - eg Lino he isn't performing the way we would like i would say - i think we have wasted what little money we have on him looks to me not going to give us value unless he starts to perform against the teams that will be fighting with us for survival .,,,,i also think miller and toupus time is up and we should now begin to look elsewhere for younger players in the nrl for same money

Problem with us and our limited finances we have to be spot on with our recruiting .

Can we just take a look at Barnsley FC and their Billionaire but tight a$$e owner who employs Moneyball tactics and after avoiding the drop to Div 1 last year they are now in the Championship playoffs.

Key differences was not necessarily by buying players from unknown clubs for £125000 because they had good stats on paper, but the appointment of their new manager has transformed the team.

Remarkable turn around.

Commenting on the lack of confidence, and quoting Barnsley FC, reminds me of the quote by the ex Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, in getting them in the Premier league in 1997. He was asked what the clubs target was, and if it was solely to avoid relegation. He responded with something like "No, if you set your targets low, you achieve low" So true, in any profession not just sport.

The negativity from our management sucks tonight, and sadly, they'll be wanting the fans to suck up, and cough up more money.

As someone quoted on here lately, after a conversation with MC, don't look at it as a season ticket as being around £275, see it as about £5.50 per week, people may start to keep that money in their pocket, and who'd blame them.
