Crigglestone have no signing on fee or subs. We have been pleased with crowds as people are just so chuffed to be out and about again. I am ever positive that we will rebuild but only as one body for the game. BARLA is now just a waste of time. One body, two arms. Simple.

Every player/volunteer and club official will have to pay this new fee, the real figure is likely to be £40, so if you are a volunteer and say 1st aider or team manager and have a couple of kids playing, then next year it will cost you £120 plus the clubs subs. The RFL are saying they will pay player insurance on the back of this, last year the players insurance that i was responsible for was £1200, with 5 junior sides all requiring 5 volunteers and an open age with at least 2 and a total of 70 players, the income the RFL would receive would be £3880, also they will pick up the cost of all DBS check (which they currently do for £0) From my experience, players subs just about cover matchday food and some basic equipment costs like first aid kit and water bottles. Not sure the RFL will be giving anything back that is equal or greater than then extra contribution being asked for.
This along with all club chairs and welfare officers having to take the UKAD training making them responsible for the monitoring of any illegal substance abuse and open for prosecution, Plus training and responsibility as COVID officers, then it will be no wonder if so many people walk away from the game.

That's the key, we need to know, it has to be beneficial or it's just a rip-off.

From my knowledge, I’ve stated what the RFL have committed to, that is cover players insurance and the DBS fee, they have not promised anything else, meanwhile YJYARL (as a non for profit organisation)sit there with over £80k in the bank collected from player/team fines and club entry fees in to their competitions and 2 tickets to their compulsory end of year presentation, that even if you’ve paid for the tickets you receive a fine if you don’t attend.
There is no help for community RL apart from the help the individual clubs generate themselves :l

It all sounds half arsed. If I were a conspiracy theorist I’d swear they were trying to destroy the grass roots game so the the big clubs can justify throwing there lot in with RU! See footballs European SL, greed greed greed.
