Both leaving Cas at the end of the Season according to the Tigers . Both probably have already got sorted with a new club (wires) but two players who would certainly add some quality to our forward pack and back line , If you lot can get over the fact they are Cas players .Plenty of players are OOC at the ends of the season and could be worth a punt if on the market , and may even have challenge cup winners in a month or so to add to their CV.

Weren't there some some alleged issues regarding Holmes a couple of seasons back that maybe why he isn't being retained and why we should steer clear?

I think it's exactly the opposite. The coach is taking him with him.
He's an outstanding player

If he does go it’ll be a tough ask getting in front of either Curry or Hughes

I’m not having a dig at you, your entitled to speculate.

However for me I’m far more interested in the players we have as I don’t think there is a magic bullet out there for us.

We need to fill our quota spot with as top notch NRL prop as we can afford.

We need to keep Westy if possible.

We need to bring in the likes of Aydin and Bowes in towards the end of the year if practical.

The only other positions I’d then look at are FB as we only have Max, I can’t see Walker getting another deal. Decide if Brad Walker is a hooker. Decide to keep or replace Hampshire.

None of our players are totally past it, Kyle Wood is the only big concern there but he looks fine to me.

I honestly think we are only 2-3 players off being a really good team, especially with some seriously talented youngsters coming through.

So to me neither of those are what we need imo though both are fine players so obviously they wouldn’t be a waste if we did sign them.

Can’t believe i’m agreeing with you especially on the clubs youth and a good prop . I’m sure they will have their future mapped out anyway, it was more of speculative thing for peoples thoughts more than anything as there seemed to be a lull in the forum

LF: Westy or XXXXX - Crowther - (Walker)

SR: Pitts - Ashurst - Tanginoa - Batchelor - (Arundel) - Windrow

Hookers: K Wood - J Wood - Bowes - (Walker)

Props: Fifita - Battye - Arona - XXXXX (NRL) - XXXXX (UK) - Aydin

Plus a couple of U19's, most likely O'Donovan and Eseh.

Players who may be leaving - Walker - Green - Tangata (gone) - J Wood? - Senior - ALL TOTAL GUESSES

That's how I see next years squad shaping up.

Agree with most of that but you need to add Eseh to the props as he has a full time contract like Aydin. I would still be looking for 2 props though.

My opinion is we need quality additions at prop, hooker and possibly loose if Westy doesn’t stay.
