Despite getting beaten by Cas (again), there was very little in the game last night. Ultimately, we made more mistakes than they did and backed many of those errors up with penalties/resets.
Yes, we are awful on last tackle plays and there is more structure in a sandcastle than our attack in the opposition 20 but, it was the number of mistakes in possession that cost us the game. Ball strips, desperate offloads, crossing etc, etc. How much possession did we gift to Cas and how many times did we make a balls up with ball in hand and it was still a 6 point game. Defensively, we're not too far off but, with ball in hand, there is a lot of improving to do (understatement).
Also if we cant challenge for an attacking kick, we may as well go for touch and set our defensive line.
Couldn’t have put it better. Getting pinged twice in possession is criminal, the crossing errors & ball steals etc jeez. CC says he likes the players to play what’s in front of them, but for me that’s great when you’ve got world class players but Trinity, well it would be nice to see some signs of coaching & a game plan!
Can i ask when do you become the finished article ma as been a first team player for 5 years...for its not about scapegoat its about people on here going mad cos he aint getting a new deal....fact is he dont deserve one like alot
He's been in the squad for 5 yrs. Has he actually played at FB for all that time?

Played 80 first team games now and turned 24 years old. He’s not an inexperienced kid anymore. He needs to make the most of his runs in the team like this, i’ll back him to bounce back next week.
A club like Wakefield need versatility from players to make the budget go further. Max fits into that category, plus who knows what his contract is? Would it be on a par with Hampshire? Who would you have for the money?

He's been one our better and most consistent players so far this season. I dont get why so many people are so bloody short sighted.
He was phenomenal against Leigh 2 weeks ago and certainly helped us win that game but, now, some have him down as public enemy number 1 and question whether he should be in the side. It's ridiculous.

if you look at our results and above all performances over the last two years they have not been great. It’s created bad feeling amongst the fans and every single player as been heavily criticised in this period, fafita, Miller, rocky, crowther and TJ was slagged off for getting injured and called chocolate the other month. At the moment I think the players are much better thought of if they are not playing cause as soon as they return it’s open season and someone to blame. The saying is your only as good as your last game and if you set your own standards and fall well below them then questions will be asked m.

Top post fully agree some of our 'fans' or so called fans are a disgrace the bagging and blaming is poisonous at times.
100% agree support the team stop knocking them at every opportunity. Some keep saying we don't have a clue in the opposition's half and should score more. Unfortunately it's not that easy Couple of weeks ago we were beaten by Warrington but we managed to score 18 points against a team of so called superstars. Last night a very strong St. Helens side couldn't muster anything bar one goal. In perspective that makes our attack not as bad as some think it is..

I agree about not bagging players but, on our attack, it's absolutely woeful. When we get to the last play, our kicks are very, very poor and there is nothing getting set up.
Westerman seems to be the organiser in the side rather than either of the halves.
Most other sides have a plan for when they reach tackle 5 or 6 and try to execute a particular play. I dont see this with Trinity, not even close.

in the Hull kr and hudds games we seemed to change our style of play to one that suited us, not the typical round back with every play, we played with much more freedom then in the Leigh game and onwards it’s back to the same old stuff. If you look at millers first try a long pass from dummy half and he’s in, the gaps are bigger on the outside and always have been and toupo caused some real damage with decent ball.
