It’s been a long time coming, a totally unexpected away win. The last was probably Leeds in 2020 but in a way winning at Headingly doesn’t surprise me.

This had lethargic never got off the bus written all over it. No real need to win, cue on the rack stuff.

I don’t know if it would have happened under CC and frankly I don’t care. What I do know is it’s a massive shift in attitude and long overdue. It’s so nice to know we are back and competing again, a real boost to the fans.

A great win and as you say unexpected, even more so when we got the news re Arundel having to withdraw in the warm up. I suppose you could say that their lack of half backs equaled out our lack of centres but never the less I think KR were strong favourites. Plus we came back from two tries down, plus we put on a set move for Rocky`s try something we never seemed to do under Chester. Have only seen the highlights of last nights game but it seems that the big difference is that we are now supporting the ball carrier and this was evident the moment Poaching took charge. I perhaps don't agree that there has been a `massive shift in attitude `. From the Pre Poaching matches I watched this season i never felt the players were giving less than 100%, I genuinely believe that the Chester systems, game plan, structures etc had become stale and it was same old sane old week in week out. Anyway no point looking back lets just enjoy what we are seeing.

Pleasantly surprised I would add.
As has been mentioned, a couple of the set plays that led to tries were outstanding. A long time since we said that.
Pleased for Innes too - that lad has got some wheels!

I thought Pitts try was the best personally, it's been a while since we have managed to get a back rower through a gap. They usually get a dodgy pass and end up in Pinders.

When we weren't getting pinged by the ref, our pack was absolutely dominant.
I know that Fifita got the ball stripped from him, which was poor but, the ball steal he made himself and just carried on with a run was quality. It reminded me of Gavin Clinch who was the master of that skill - brilliant.

Haha .. it was a brilliant ball steal by Fifita on Parcell … he didn’t know what had hit him . At a crucial time time too !

Just watched the tries on Trinity TV.

Have to say the Senior try underlined what a truly superb player TJ has become. His ability to read the game is hugely under rate IMHO. His ability to take his chances is beyond dispute but he also has a terrific knack of knowing when he can't score but still finding a pass for someone who can, it's like having a winger who can think like a halfback.

I hate to say it but he's wasted with us (but long may he remain) but he's also wasted in SL, he needs to go to the NRL. Even with his injury issues, he's no more likely to get the sort of injuries he gets there than he is here IMHO.

If he could stay fit he'd be a sensation, he really would.

The NRL is not the place for him because he is not strong enough to survive the physicality of the Australian game particularly with how the wingers are utilised. I have seen enough NRL games to realise that yes he has the skills but the players are better drilled and hit a lot harder which as seen many careers falter or come to a premature end.
