I just said the same to my wife who is a neuro physio. That wage is awful. It screaming out for a graduate wanting to get on the ladder or who is just mad for Rugby.

I saw it in my trade very few was not willing to blackened up to the eye balls and could earn better wages else where,
it wouldn't surprise me that players at a young age aren't willing to persevere with the game and just walk away

I would guess that this appointment will be an introduction to the sharp end for a young graduate. Ryan Carmody has his own physiotherapy and sports injury clinic so getting income from other sources outside of Trinity. No reason to not believe that an assistant will have multiple irons in the fire.

The 'assist the Head Physiotherapist' role is for the second post ie that of the Sports Therapist/Rehabilitator

I for one are more than happy to have the club on an even keel financially after years of teetering on the brink of ruin . So if the wage for this new physio isn’t up there with the best , so be it , we cut our cloth accordingly.
