A fit Jay Pitts in the pack gives us a fast back row that makes the ball available to our backs. For the last couple of seasons I have rated his workload among the top week in week out performers in the squad, along with Liam Kay they have really come back to Belle Vue as improved players. Makes you wonder why we let them go in the first place.
Not sure why the need for the last bit.
Jay Pitts wanted to join Leeds, well documented. We didn’t let him go he just left. Big error on his part.
Kay was a money issue as simple as that. He was always a 50/50 as to whether he was worth keeping for the money he wanted. What you have to ask is would he have thrived had he stopped or is it the journey that made him. Who knows but the player we have now is one of the better finds of recent years.
