For those entering/standing in the Northstand from this week onwards there are new arrangements in place effective IMMEDIATELY. The Northstand turnstiles won't be open so you will have to enter via the Doncaster Rd turnstiles and Northstand capacity is being set at 1500 on a first-come, first-served basis with wrist bands being issued, which must be worn apparently !!! Might have to make an effort to get in more than 10 mins before kick off

Good to see an indicator of some progress around the ground development as well

Might be a silly question, but why the need for wrist bands, for Northstanders?

I thought the north stand had a capacity of more than 1500. Wonder if the dreaded ground safety officers have paid us a recent visit.

The reason given was to prepare for the demolition of the East Stand which is strange because it will be that gate that will not be needed so why not wait until after the Wigan game. When the work starts it must impact the proposed North Stand entrance when the gates that are no longer in operation would be a better option. I think this smacks of instructions from the authorities and more safety related. I may be wrong but I didn’t see which gate will be used to access the new temporary stand.

The release says effective from June to September.

Exactly.

There are 2 games to get procedures right before restrictions as are mandated as part of the construction works.

I agree.

The club would have been criticised by some if they hadn't done a 'dry run'.
Mind you some on here would criticise whatever they did - damned if they do, damned if they don't
