Taxi for Mr Applegarth... Please! : Sat May 27, 2023 10:22 am
I'll pay! Unfortunately I can't afford a contact for an experienced coach to replace him. I suspect that is the problem or are we waiting for a new owner and a new CEO.?. Meanwhile it's groundhog day and the damage being done to the club is becoming so bad it will take years to recover if ever.

If anyone has any doubt about how damaging relegation will be. ( unless you have a rick backer like Derek Beaumont) Try looking for a preview of this weekends Summer Bash. The big weekend for the championship. There is nothing in any of the daily newspapers. Nothing on the BBC sport rugby league pages and you have to scroll right down to the bottom of the Love Rugby League web site to see an article about the special shirts to be worn. How will we ever ger a major sponsor with that sort of lack of exposure to the general public.

Applegarth is seriously damaging is future career as a head coach now. After this nobody is going to touch him for a lead post with a barge pole.

I'm told that Matthew Ellis' company turned over in excess of £200 million last year ??

What is it now, 15/15? That is woefully embarrassing. How can anyone say he has a future as a head coach when you think how many times we’ve been nilled this year as well.

I feel sorry for MA..
He’s in an impossible position at the moment….he’s had the least amount to spend on players , inherited some rubbish that was not of his choosing from previous seasons.if there’s a new backer coming in , it’s highly likely that they will want a new head coach, there’s little point in searching for a new coach until that happens…
His first team CV doesn’t look great… however let’s not forget he was instrumental in setting up the elite academy licence… he has a knack for bringing young players on… never before have we had so many players coming through from junior level..

If we end up under new management they’re likely to get someone else in … but I would be of a mind to think about his previous position and wether he would be prepared to take up that role again…
