Alarming that we're down to 19 players after just 3 games but fortunately it's one we should breeze through.

I can't really see it as alarming.
Some are out as a precaution.

No reason to put kids in if we are not intending to play them.

So you think naming just 19 players is a positive?

I'd have thought Doyle would have been part of the squad unless he's one of those with a knock but haven't heard anything.

I did like the look of that new young FB Noah Booth, good under the high ball, and decent coming out of his own end with a bit of pace and a step, he's quite tall and lanky, so he has a good physique to grow into moving forward. Another promising young player.

It's practically a full-strength side so we're not messing around, minus Lino, so no slight on Hunslet and nothing to be worried about. No doubt DP is looking ahead to harder games and getting everyone ready for the big season ahead. No point risking too much against Hunslet with players that have knocks etc, with all due respect.

Personally, I don't think it's too much to get worried about, not when we've put practically a full-strength fit side out to start against Hunslet amateurs and as you say it's a game we should breeze through anyway.

We've got 27 players in the squad plus, reserves and 19's that could have made up the numbers if DP felt he needed them. There are a few players that to my knowledge haven't got injuries in the squad that haven't been picked like Doyle, Shaw, Delaney and Law, so DP must think that 2 extra players are all we need in case anyone breaks down before the game. No doubt someone will ask before or after the game and we'll get the answer.

I'm not worried at all, we could go with 13 players and I'd still expect us to win by 50. But naming 19 players after just 3 games isn't a good look for us. We'd two players pull up in the warm up last week. What harm would it have done naming two young lads?

Let's just name 15 players then because we used to do that back in the day as well.

If you've read my posts you'll see I'm not concerned. However, I would've been interested to know your views if Carter and Applegarth were still in charge.

I’m not going over old ground but the previous owners being jnvolved with the recruitment is why we’ve ended up in the championship.
