Not sure how serious the issue is regarding the water supply or lack of it…
Can’t see Matt Ellis being too chuffed with the loss of revenue… Morgan Sindall might find themselves in a bit of bother because of it…
Can’t help thinking that the firm that was looking after trinity’s interests during the build should have picked up on any issues to make sure stuff was being done properly and that corners weren’t cut! ….. which looks like what’s happened..

having worked on many large construction projects... I can only comment... It cost so much less to do it right first time than it does to correct your feckups ...

Really bad press for a previously well respected project management company!!!

Had a look at Ellis' new showroom on line... Looks like the guy has an eye for quality and detail... Bodes well for the future, but I wouldn't like to be in the contactors shoes right now!

Has this project actually been managed ? It's seems to be one Horlicks after another. Ellis must be livid spending all his time trying to put thinks right others have messed up. Whilst he is having to do this, he can't get on with the rest of his upgrade plans

With the raft of cuts throughout the project and the issues that keep coming it hasn’t really inspired much confidence in the project management and contractors.

What Spook has said is correct but the power supply and water supply/infrastructure I would imagine will have been planned in accordance with what is being built and its requirements. I’m quite surprised that the power issue and this now water issue have occurred.

I am happy with the improvements as a fan but when I look at the fact 12.2 million has gone into this and the raft of cuts and the possible abandonment of the south east stand plans. I would have honestly expected things to go much more smoothly.

With contractors and projects you would generally scrutinise, review and challenge regularly as the end customer. It's a massive task and a lot of work at every stage of the process. To a degree though you have to trust the contractors who are the professionals with the knowledge.

No doubt there will be a lot of conversations taking place.

Quite right… much of my career has been in engineering assurance… working on the ‘client’ side…. The contractor should have evidence of requirements management, design assurance… and the sign offs into testing and commissioning… all of which should have been presented at final inspection and handover!
