How good was Gale today.

Best I've seen him play I think.

He was the architect behind everything we did today. The legs clearly aren't what they used to be but his understanding of the game keeps a yard or two ahead of everyone else. He was setting the next plays up before the tackle was even made.

Agree, he was very good today. His field kicking was very good too and he has a hand in almost everything good we did.

Said to my mate after another one of the several Olpherts errors, again, just think how good we will be when McGillvary gets back on the field even with the Lino blockage down that side. Hope we can tempt him to stay another year as I'm guessing he will only get a dozen or so games this year if he is lucky with a tricep tear. Get well soon Jerry.

Another year would not be good for him in my opinion. He's coming to the end. This season he could do really well but I don't think he'll be going a full season in Super League next year. And it seems that's his opinion too, though who knows what will happen when we get to that point of the season.

Olpherts isn't perfect but he does what we need right now. Plenty of people found it difficult to catch the ball in that wind.
But as you say, I'll be happier when Jerry is back.

Well deserved win yesterday, don't think we needed to get out of 2nd gear without meaning any disrespect to Donny. On Olpherts, we knew what we'd be getting and if we're honest, he's a 2nd choice right winger for a championship team, are we really able to recruit anyone else better for a back up role at least for this season anyway? Gale and Lino both played well and their kicking games were far better this week but the star of the season for me so far is Atoni. He's easily the best prop in this league and we drop intensity when he's off the field. Not to say the other props aren't performing well, he's just so much better than anything else we have!

Quite scrappy in places for me. Reasonable shift from forwards but still plenty of mistakes. That right edge attack is still stifled by Lino who I genuinely doubt will ever “settle in”, no matter how much time he is given. Fanboys please feel free to issue a strongly worded response. Max also needs to back himself more. He gets into some real good running situations and just seems like he holds himself back from going for gaps sometimes.

If we ever get out of second gear this year, we will score a hundred. With Toulouse losing at home and Fev a basket case, who is going to trouble us this year? Looking like no one other than Sheffield.

York have there first choice 6 and 7 back next week so it is a big test for Gale and Lino .Think one of the reason we some times look sluggish on the outer edges is as soon as Griffin as got to move to centre we have no pace in the centres to get in to space to get there winger away Will get shot down but it is in parts of the back 7 were we are struggling We may getaway with it in the Championship but not in S L .Just for the record think Lino is getting a lot of unfair stick ,overall is game is sound and is tackling as improved 100% from last season

Not sure where you've heard that, alegend, but some York fan allegedly posted on SM yesterday that they will be missing Dagger, Myler and Keinhorst and he expects us to thrash them ??

They haven't won a game yet...
