Hopefully we have got rid of the drinkers and this is another step in the right direction by the club and board...if players are complaining,then they can go as well.......would be intresting to know what the rule is regards drinking before a match...when my cousin was at Leigh...it was 48 before a match.

Should be at least that here. No issue with having a drink after the match either, but the lack of professionalism from some is atrocious.

I agree 48/72 hrs whichever is more than fine. I don't think that is the problem though. It's more the drinking on weekends after the match that people don't seem to like. It seems if we win and players are seen out celebrating then that's ok. However if we lose and our players are seen out getting drunk then they get slammed for being unprofessional.

Very good point that mate

When we played on Sundays then the 48 hour ban would have worked, now its Fridays they have the chance to go on the lash Fri, Sat , Sun anyways

It can't be that upmarket they let me in there last year. Although I was asked to leave a few hours and several pints of Coors later.
Still good call by the club imo.

We were campaigning for a free bus from the KC to Hessle after matches and longer opening hours for the Weir Bar. Thinking of launching a Human rights lawsuit against the club in order to get them readmitted.

Good move by the club imo, The Weir bar has been the Centre of the trouble with the drinking culture at the club, I know some of the players who drank there have left, others are still at the club. I do disagree with them banning them from going to the new years eve party, the club should have let them go on a one off occasion, since they had already paid for tickets.
