My only complaint with the ref (all refs will make some mistakes) was that he allowed Huddersfield to get away with a dodgy tackle technique. The number of times they were areound the neck during the wrestle was incredible (I've watched it again on Sky+ and it's even worse on the TV).
He eventually picked it up in the second half and penalised them a couple of times but it continued afterwards as well. This is a technique that they are trying to snuff out in Oz but maybe Nathan Brown reckons the Super League is a couple of years behind so he can get away with it for a bit.
Saw the same thing in last night's game as well. So did Matterson http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/7944351.stm. Quote from BBS web site: "They have done a good job eradicating the grapple tackle in the NRL with two referees but Huddersfield have brought it here," claimed Matterson.... They were round our heads all day. They kept doing it and our guys were frustrated," added Matterson."
Sounds like I wrote that.
