Johnstone out and Peats in seems a good bit of business on the face of it though it does scupper the idea of an overseas prop - unless of course another non fed player is leaving.
Shauls not your answer at hooker, he may have a good quick scoot in him but you only get that on the back of a quick play the ball, his distribution won't be good enough as its not something he's done from a young age. So you might get the odd good dummy half scoot but I doubt you'd get good quick distribution
We need to get moving with recruitment, unfortunately I think we have left it to late to recruit.
Huddersfield already have 3 halfback better than our main two halfbacks.
Give it a rest.
Wish some people will realise the half backs cant make lazy forwards get quick play the balls, second rowers to run at pace and centres to run into gaps. There is only so much a half back can do.
For what it's worth, I don't think Sneyd will be going anywhere fast, and rightly so. Reynolds wasn't the right signing for me, and Hodgson has to take a lot of the blame for that. Wests are probably subsidising a big percentage of his salary, desperate as they were to get him of their cap.

For crying out loud.
Brain dead seriousley
No chance, not until we get better ones or they start performing, you can blame the forwards all you want but they has been loads of times the forwards have set the platform and the pivots have failed to create.
If you are happy with halfbacks who dont make breaks or who cant put a player through a gap then be prepared for us to not get any better.
If you dont like my opinion they simply press the ignore button

My two penneth on this is that the we have been generally poor across most areas this season. As for saying half backs can't make lazy forwards get quick ptb's or second rowers to run at pace or centres to run into gaps to some extent that is true.. However there have been numerous times this season that the forwards have indeed laid a platform for the halfbacks and we have not only failed to collect points with large amounts of possession but also not looked like scoring when in the oppositions 20. Without Kelly we seem to have no one in the middle capable of switching the play and adapting to how the game is going, taking on the defence and we were just too one dimensional. This was made more evident when we lost Connor after the International friendly. Its plausible that the fact Reynolds never got a settled run has affected things also but that said they've had enough opportunities in games to have shown more than they have.
So I'd agree that half backs can only do so much but when they've had opportunity they have been lacking though I am not singling them out as I think the performances across the board in terms of the team etc have been below the standard that this team is/was capable of.
If we are to be a team at the top end of the league then this needs addressing as I don't think it unfair to say we simply have no imagination, creativity or genuine threat especially when Connor is not in the team.
Our inability to break teams down in their 20 has been an issue for a long time now.
We’ve relied on individuals in the past (Kelly, Connor) rather than in built structures. I think BH has worked on that, but as things got worse, we’ve just reverted to type.
Its difficult as most teams play the same way with the same plays , so much of the play gets nullified in today’s game. Makes Super League a bit staid to watch.
Still think we’ve got the power play in our DNA, and it’s not going to be easy to turn that around.
