Interesting few weeks to see who we let go and who we sign? Think there is a lot of Wheeler dealing going on behind closed doors hence no statements.

I wonder what the reacton on here would've been like if we'd signed James Bell as a back up player as Saints have just done.

Eighteen SL appearances for Leigh this year, previously at Toulouse and just a couple of NRL appearances.

I’d of been happy with him, he’s as good as, if not better than Cator at 13. But think we need an edge back rower more than another small middle. Would of taken up a quota spot too.

Probably better received than Wardle.
I think the club is in a real mess and a big hole regarding recruitment
Its likely we will see an overseas front row as Hodgson made it clear earlier in the season that we needed an additional player in that position but the rest is playing catch up to most other clubs in S/L in a home market with a dearth of S/L standard players.
We are also supposed to be running a reserve team next season and this has all the signs of 2018 when we signed several fringe players following another Pearson outburst then to release them all at the end of that season.
I think with the addition of a quality front row and a bit more luck with injuries we are not too far away from a top four side but for me the half backs are the weak link in our attack and if we do end up with another quota place then use it on a running half.

Seen as a few on here don’t rate our half’s , would people be happy if we got rid of Reynolds and signed Luke Gale . A lot cheaper and free up another quota spot too !

A depressing memory on Facebook tonight, 5 years since we took on Warrington for the League Leaders Shield in front of our highest home crowd ever at the KC/KCOM/MKM and flopped big time...of course we had 1 more year in the sunshine but my oh my how have we fallen

I don't know exactly what our league placings have been over the last 10 or so years, but suspect this year's placing is nearer our average than 16/17. Maybe this is just.our level, in the same way Salford and Cas had a couple of stellar seasons but aren't Big 4 sides.

Yes that was a killer, we dropped out of the top two for the first time since April costing us a home play off 80 minutes from Old Trafford. Our away record was actually better than our home that season, but still.

Well I guess we could argue we made 4th last year by making the second week of the play off but in terms of league placings and ignoring knock out play off games we have finished in the top four twice since 2008 (2016 and 2017). During that time we've finished 6th five times and 8th four times.

Could he be another one with an attitude problem? Stripped of the rhinos captaincy earlier in the season for a disciplinary issue, probably not the sort of player we need to be introducing into the camp?
