Dave Brown (donk) remember his performances or lack of them, watched him in the Derby at Craven park, dreadful. But I believe when he left he still got an NRL gig.

Nearly as good as Peter Spring!

I'm sure there was some aussie named brown who came late 80's or early 90's who was nicknamed the tumble dryer around the time that nfl player had the nickname refrigerator

Youre right..
Peter Spring's nickname was 'Donk,' because he had an uncanny resemblance to a character from the Crocodile Dundee movie.

Thought Springs nickname was Cockie, long time ago now, maybe I’m mixed up.

Talk this morning is his hamstring went in the captains run.

Not that it's Hull FC related. Apologies!

The man is just down on confidence not effort. I hope he doesn’t read this forum in search of any boost. As Houghton says everyone is putting the effort in and everyone cares. I see that. There’s a player in Okunbar but your comments won’t help imo.
Hoping for a spirited close defeat v Saints but expecting a spirited stuffing!

My comments won't make a difference and if he reads them and is offended then he's far too fragile to be a pro rl player. I say it as I see it. How many hit ups does he make a game? What's his average metres per game? How many times is he offering himself to take those hard drives in our own 20? One of the worst imports we've had in a while and the competition is plenty,

In the land of wishful thinking once more. Patiently waiting for our time to finally arrive.

I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

If Okunbor does read this forum, and I would be stunned if he did, then his best riposte would be to take the words of people like myself earlier and ram them back down our throats, only he has the capacity to do so.

The guy has played in the NRL so, as you say, there must be a player in there somewhere, but it's difficult to escape the viewpoint that, so far, we've seen scant evidence that the guy is making even a minimal contribution (one dash to the craven park try line notwithstanding).

Both Ese and Pele have shown the odd glimpse here and there that they have something to offer, but we're still waiting to see if Okunbor is going to make a worthwhile contribution and justify bringing him over here.
Obviously he's landed into a club and situation where it's not exactly rosy (to say the least!!) and maybe the changes we've seen over the past two weeks will inject some energy and enthusiaism into him, let's hope so.

I hope he proves me wrong, I really do, but based on what we have seen so far, he has been the worst performer out of a very badly under-performing bunch, which is some feat! Only he can alter that narrative, otherwise he's going to end up going down in fan folklore as one of the worst signings the club has made in recent memory, alongside the (semi) legendary Dave 'tumble-dryer' Brown

Over to you, Jaydon, prove us all wrong here and we will be rooting for you, honest!

In the meantime, let's hope for only a 'mere' 30 point drubbing tonight, then we're on our way once more!
