I'm not convinced it was solely down to him but you would have at least thought that his experience would have still played a part in spotting better talent. Or was we really in that much of a mess that we just had to go for whoever was even slightly interested in joining us.

As that House of League podcast said the other week, no other Super League club was interested in either Okunbor or Pele so surely that set some alarm bells ringing somewhere at the club?

Here's hoping this loan spell does him and Tindall some good though. It'll hopefully give them both some confidence and get them into form. Whether that benefits us or not, time will tell but at the very least it will hopefully put them in the shop window to secure deals elsewhere.

You only had to listen to smith to know he'd lost the plot. It was like listening to the ramblings of a mad man

Wouldn't want Satae back as it's another quota spot taken on a prop forward, although if we were to release Pele then I'd back it.

In recent years, our acquisitions from the NRL were recommended by Mark O'Meley, all of the players signed, had links to either Canterbury or Newcastle, where he was/is assistant coach .
Maybe Smith only recommended the players from UK.

Yep, surley we wont have 4 quota props that would be a really inbalanced use, probably the easiest position to recruit domestically too.

But if Sao or Pele were replaced by Satae i'd be all for it.

He's missed off Cesar Rouge but it's pretty much what I've been told.

Funny man is Mav
