2 quota spots to play with and the club hope Okunbor will make his move to Bradford permanent.

Think we should be looking at
Bailey Hodgson (fullback, Centre & wing)
Tristan Sailor (fullback & Half back)
Tesi Nui (Centre)
Jacob Allick (Back Row)
Riley Dean (half back)
A prop

3 quota spots used a ton of depth. Only place we’d be light is a rapid winger. Should we sign those 6, id be content that we’re moving in the right direction and could challenge for mid table obscurity.

Think I've seen Alick playing for Gold Coast a bit in recent weeks. Not sure if it's down to their injuries or if they think he is genuinly good enough. If it's the latter then might be hard to prise him away from there now, and likely a chance missed last year to sign him when he wasn't getting any first grade time.

Looks to me like he’s got the skill set to be a star in SL. I believe he’s off contract, so definitely a possibility.

The prop id go for is Matty English as seem surplus as Hudds

Ah fair enough if he's off contract we might stand some chance. Would potentially need to act quick before GC extend.
But I agree he looks a player that could do really well in SL.

If Holbrook didn't get the sack we would have got Alick instead of Ockunbor the past offseason.

Would agree 100%, and think it shows that Myler (whatever any thoughts were as fans on his appointment) seems to be handling the rebuild/overhaul of the club pragmatically and sensibly. He also seems very conscientious and willing to speak with a discuss things with the people that matter but most importantly listen to them. It would also appear he isn't afraid to make the tough decisions that are and will be needed on the road to recovery for the club.
As a fan that has wobbled and wondered about walking due to the utter despair I have felt, I find it reassuring that in Cartwright we have a Coach who has been and still is heavily involved at the top of the Australian game and although he doesn't officially start yet he is already very much an active and involved party to the current transition.

On your point re Sneyd I don't think it would be a stretch to assume that the decision on Sneyd was probably made more out of financial reasons than anything. If AP was having to cut back then its probably fair to say we most likely couldn't have given Sneyd a lengthy deal or brought in the players to build around that were needed such were the financial constraints at the time or looming up.

I think right here and now its a time to feel genuinely hopeful for the future and be positive about the changes being made.

Let's be honest, if sneyd had stayed at Hull he wouldn't be in the form he is now

Connor Watson making origin and was supposedly close to joining also. As bad as Clark and whoever else was recruiting got it can’t help think it might have been a lot different had things played out differently.

He is an incredible utility but Watson would have been signed to play 7 and it would have gone as well as playing Nu Brown there I reckon.

Anyone get the feeling, with some of the signings we have made, it's not only to make us better short term, but also, as when this investment really kicks in and announced etc is when the money starts to really show in the signings we make?

I'm cautiously optimistic at this stage but until recruitment and retention is complete I've yet to make my mind up.

We have made signings for next season that are better than what we've got but I can't see us getting any where near the play-offs.

We need at least 3 more high quality signings to really make a statement of intent.

The thing that excites me most is the number of quality youngsters coming through that will hopefully provide the core of the team for the future but that will not happen overnight.
