They’ve not announced Cust, Rapana or Sezer yet so it’s not quite official that’s he’s leaving but all are done deals so there’s no way Carlos can stay unless he joins the coaching staff or another role but his agent has said he’s still going to play on.

Maybe the reason the club are holding back announcing the overseas signings is so they can announce he is leaving first or maybe it’s completely unrelated. Either way he’s leaving hopefully gets a decent send off.

I imagine the Rapana deal will be officially announced this week as the player himself has confirmed the deal to the telegraph in OZ

Re: Shopping list for 2025 : Fri Sep 06, 2024 1:26 pm
So with the 2025 recruitment nearing completion i suppose a few questions remain...

1. Do we think we will make room for another quota signing? (Sao to leave?)
2. What players and position from the domestic market do you feel as though we should target? (be realistic)
3. What changes would you still like to see to the backroom team

My answer's would be...

1. I feel as though we should move Ligi on, hes way too regularly suspended or just gives stupid penalties away, id like to see us bring a reliable domestic prop in such as Hill, Lawler, etc and use the quota spot on an explosive centre (Brett Naden?)

2. Aside from another prop i think we could do with more quality at 2nd row, Holmes, Cartwright, Lane, Staveley will probably be the quartet we go with and i think its good enough to get us further up the table but id like to see us maybe make a play for an x factor style 2nd rower (Willie Manu style)

3. Would love us to bring in a top attack coach, Maybe someone from the bronco's?, They exciting to watch

If sao were leaving it would have been announced in the daily wail by now

Sao is good on his day.

Domestically we need another prop, someone to go hand in hand with Ese Ese. God knows who that maybe though.

Second row we could do with some quality, Bryce Cartwright if we could get some quota.

Centre, would love a quality centre, but without a quota who do we get? Litten started to look good there till his injury.

S & C coach is a must, or I'll go further we need an S & C team. That is paramount. With this out injuries will reduce surely as we will be fitter and less likely to get injured.

Is Sao's the only quota space that will be freed up next season? Herman was on a 3 year deal I think

Jed Cartwright was signed on an 18 month deal, but he sounds like he'll be here for longer

Reading a lot of how Litten was starting to look good at centre and should be considered a chance to start.

He looked no better at centre than he did initially at full back. Came back from his loan spell with enthusiasm as always but should be nowhere near a starting centre in SL.
