I don't see anything in the Cas, Wakey amd Hudds squad (plus Cas and Hudds, have gambled on coaches) to say we can't finish above them in fact I'll be disappointed if we don't.
Get ready to be disappointed, not saying my team are going to set the league on fire having just got promoted but the Hull squad overall is bang average let's see how the new coach goes but nothing but a fight with bottom clubs for Hull. In my opinion of course.

It would be interesting to know how the 2 local "power boards" stack up in terms of their wealth. Ours comes out at about £1/2bn. I think Dave Kilburn was worth about £100m. How much are hudge, sewell and mcnicol worth between them? I'm not sure if kilburn has ever put any money into rovers though?
I'm not sure splashing out on Hugo qualifies them as a power board Jake
I also think Wakey will be fighting at the bottom, they have made some good signings, as have we, but alot of their overseas players are untested at SL level. For me they lack creativity, pivots of Jowitt, Trueman, Russell, Hood and Pitts hardly set fear in sides. Like us they have a couple of injury risky signings too. It's OK playing against part time teams but SL is another level. I wouldn't be suprised if we finished above them or vice versa to be honest.
Had kr down as 5th as not convinced they can sustain their form. Injury free season 2024. Losing hall and Parcell arguably their two most important players. Oldest front row in SL by some margin. Can they stay fit. Jwh will be at the disciplinary. No on field organiser. There’s my doom laden thoughts for the new season
I've said this already to some Hull KR fans who reckon they are going to be at the top for years to come. History isn't on their side. Several sides from outside the big 4 have come very close to winning SL over the years, Castleford, Huddersfield, Salford, Catalans, ourselves even. The next season they always fade away into near obscurity. They still have good players, but they don't have any quality youngsters coming through at all and they won't be as lucky with injuries a second time. They won't get close to repeating what they did last year.

Last chance for Hull KR this year to win something for a couple of years as they haven't planned long term. I'm pretty sure Lewis will go, that's what he has been telling people, but could be having them on. More success means players want upgrades and that makes it harder to keep everyone happy, that's what happens at Saints and Wigan, but they usually have a player ready to step up, Rovers don't have that yet, Peters is either reluctant to play them or doesn't think they are ready.he
