End of an Era, been a fantastic servant to the club and the fans, THANK YOU DANNY
Echo that, Black & White through and through, and the last of the 'Immortals'. Will be remembered for many things but Tackle 52 epitiomises Danny and his service to the club.
I've been critical of Danny over the past few years (more out the Coaches flogging him for 80mins) but can not deny he is fully deserving and earned the accolades he'll receive on his playing retirement.
Well played Danny Houghton. Nobody more black and white than him and no one has given more to the cause. A real player's player, coaches dream and icon!
Will go down as one of the clubs legendary players. That tackle at Wembley is the iconic moment but it really just epitomises his endless effort over the years. A well deserved retirement. Thanks Danny.
I've been a fan of Hull FC, since 1974, so I've seen a fair few players for our great club. For mine, Danny Houghton is the best player , I've seen at our club, for workrate and effort.
Having said that I will add one further accolade that represents the character of the man. The last few years have been hard but no matter what the scoreline Houghton kept going when others downed tools and went in to hiding. A true legend.
never given less than 100% in any game I've seen. Should really have retired a couple of years ago for his body's sake but is definitely up there at the top table for club legends
